Four directly inspected video openings, source coverage, audio and performance limits, and instructions for using the corrected monthly library.
Evaluated September 8, 2026 (America/Vancouver). Run: social-hooks-2026-08-video-openings.
This revised pilot examines what is actually visible in the first few seconds of four social videos. Each video opening has its own public Text Circle with source evidence and original instructions for adapting it into a 0–5-second storyboard.
The original videos were opened in a browser and their opening frames inspected during playback at approximate timestamps. Readable captions and public engagement counters were recorded directly from the platform pages. The individual Circles link the originals and distinguish observed material from new creative suggestions.
The soundtracks were not independently audited. These entries do not claim to reproduce heard dialogue, music or sound effects. Proposed speech and sound in adaptations are new production suggestions.
Instagram and YouTube displayed publication dates including 2026 in accessible page information. TikTok displayed 8-12 without a year; its inclusion in the dated August 2026 discovery snapshot supports the month assignment, with that limitation retained.
Public counters were observed on September 8, after the research month. They measure cumulative engagement at observation, not August-only growth. No early-retention analytics, controlled comparison, causal hook effect or cross-platform ranking was established.
This is a bounded four-video pilot across Instagram, TikTok and YouTube Shorts. It is not an exhaustive inventory or proof of a rising trend. No LinkedIn, Facebook or X video was admitted to this revised batch. Generic hook lists, source-report-only formulas and titles without inspected video openings are insufficient for future admission.
The Content Labs August snapshot was used to discover original posts. Primary links, precise displayed counters and evidence limits live in the individual hook Circles:

The prompt produces three original opening storyboards, each with 0–1s, 1–3s and 3–5s beats, visuals, overlay, proposed speech, optional sound and a continuation that delivers the payoff.
The exact public Text / MyiWorlds / workflow-tag search returned these four new Circles. The example prompt expands with Circle 5793's full instructions and source URL, no missing required values and no truncation. The four Circles are public and filed in the research archive.
Monthly research remains scheduled for the 3rd at 9 a.m. America/Vancouver, evaluating the previous calendar month. Future entries must document an inspected original opening. A distinct source opening receives its own Circle; repeated observations of that same opening update its evidence without duplicating it. Publish fewer entries when access or evidence is insufficient.
This report supersedes the earlier August general-pattern pilot. Its four old entries are retained for comparison with the superseded-hook-pilot tag and excluded from the live hook search.
