2013 - 2017
Before VPN’s became popular a friend and I worked on setting up servers to allow people to access streaming services from anywhere in the world. My cofounder and I learned about programming servers to spoof locations of users to enable watching Netflix and other applications. We had all the backend code finished, but had the whole frontend application to complete still. We had run out of money to keep the project moving along and the legality of the project in Canada was becoming more than we thought we could handle on a small budget.
This was the first tech project I tried to start. It was a WebRTC based platform to allow instant voice communication through a URL in games to talk with your team. I had designed all the UI and defined features to be added to the application. We hired some developers online and the delivered product was not architected properly and couldn't be used by more than a few users. We ended up running out of money and shifting to Shiftmynet.
